- Strengthening of the participatory forest management with indigenous Shipibo-conibo communities for the management of certified communal forests in the Imiría Regional Conservation Area, Ucayali Region, Peru.
- Activities
- Make indigenous communities aware of the importance of conserving their forests. Subsequently, a pilot project on agroforestry plots will be developed together with the communities to promote the restoration of the forests.
- Improvement of forest management carried out by the actors linked to the regional protection area of Imiria (RCA Imiria) in a participatory and inclusive manner. The forest management approach must also ensure FSC forest certification.
- To improve the production of certified wood and the apiary leaf both quantitatively and qualitatively in order to bring production into line with the standards of markets that pay tiered prices because it comes from a certified forest.
